“Day of Mindfulness” on Earth Day

Held at the Church of the Transfiguration in Evergreen, the theme for the day was “Love Yourself, Love the Earth.” Once registration opened, the event quickly filled up to the maximum of 45 attendees the space could hold. A deep bow of appreciation to Sandy Cowden for organizing the event, along with many volunteers who helped make it happen, and to Craig Cowden for taking these photos. Walk in the Park

On Sunday we were in Cheesman Park with Wake Up Denver and Eyes of Compassion sangha members. We enjoyed a mindful walk, followed by a delicious vegan chocolate cake prepared by Dana, which we ate in celebration of Buddha’s birthday in the gazebo while it rained. Happy birthday, Buddha!
