The “Earth Our True Nature” retreat, with the monastics from Deer Park, will take place in Estes Park Colorado from August 18th to 23rd, 2024. Registration is now open. Details are posted on the Deer Park website.
The rates at the YMCA are more expensive than retreats years ago. We have 40 monastics facilitating this retreat. You are not alone if you need financial support to attend. You can apply for scholarships for five person rooms when you register for the retreat. If you need a scholarship for a double room, please reach out to your sangha to see if they can help support you; Deer Park is not set up to give scholarships for 2 person or single rooms. If you need a single for health reasons, you can pay two registration fees to reserve a double for yourself.
If sanghas or individuals are able to donate funds for scholarships, that would be wonderful. You can donate to the Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation or donate to Deer Park directly. Designate the donation for the Estes Park Retreat. Individuals can also donate when they register for the retreat. Some sanghas also have their own retreat scholarship funds.
