Recently, in celebrating Thay’s continuation day, Steven took a picture (via Zoom) of the Sangha singing “Happy Continuation Day to You” and sent it to  Thay in care of the Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation.  This is how it came out. Also, in response to some questions, Steven says that today’s guided meditation was from Thich Nhat Hanh’s The Blooming of a Lotus, pages 107 & 108. The reading was excerpted from Thich Nhat Hanh’s The Heart of the Buddha’s Teaching, Chapter Eleven on Right Mindfulness.

Current status

We are located in Denver, Colorado, USA. We have been continuously sitting together, in the Plum Village tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, since 2001.

Eyes of Compassion Sangha meets twice (or sometimes three times) weekly.  We invite you to sit with us in person every Thursday evening, 7:00 – 9:00 pm at University Park United Methodist Church, 2180 S. University Blvd., Denver.  Practices include sitting and walking meditation, tea meditation, dharma readings and discussion.  A greeter will welcome you and answer any questions.  In addition, you can join us online on Zoom every Sunday morning, 10:00 – 11:00 am for guided and silent meditation, dharma readings and discussion.  Our Wake Up Denver group, for people in their 20s and 30s, also meets in person at University Park UMC, on 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings, 6:30 – 8:00 pm.
